Ayman Alhammad is a Ph.D. student at William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications. He was a journalist at AlRiyadh newspaper in Saudi Arabia. At AlRiyadh, he worked in the department of international affairs for 11 years. During this time, he visited many countries in order to conduct interviews, feature stories and investigative reports. He had lengthy interviews with prominent politicians (e.g., Manmohan Singh, former prime minister of India; Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, prime minister of Malaysia; Shinzō Abe, prime minister of Japan as well as many others). Furthermore, he published a series of investigative reports on Iran’s controversial Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. He was even invited by China’s office of foreign affairs to participate in a seminar in Beijing discussing the Silk Road and its political and cultural implications on the Middle East. After the long trip in the journalism business, he moved to academia since 2016 as lecturer at Mass Communication College at Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU). After that, he joined Alekhbariya Television as presenter and editor-in-chief of a daily program. Ayman discovers public relations/political communication as a research umbrella. As a researcher with a journalistic background, his research projects focus on developing message and audience.
