In Omaha, Nebraska Steve Wilder woke up to realize that his throat was closed up and he was unable to breathe. In a panic he had to make the decision to suffocate to death, or perform a tracheotomy on himself. He stumbled to the kitchen, grabbed a steak knife, and cut into his throat. Blood went everywhere, but he succeeded and was able to breathe again. As horrifying as this sounds he claims to have felt no pain. With a proper tracheotomy he will be able to talk normally again. Wilder is quick to respond that God was the one who helped him through this horrendous situation. He believes he was meant to live through this and plans to make the best out of his life.

WOW. That's crazy, I can't imagine having to do something like that to myself. God really must of been on his side that day, luckily he didn't cut something he wasn't suppose to. Very scary!
Oh my gosh! Where did this story come from? If this is true, I'm almost certain the guy was just very lucky. The chances of him severely injuring himself seem far greater than performing a successful tracheotomy. Panic sure makes some people act very courageously.
