Jonathan KealingJonathan Kealing is INN’s chief network officer, charged with strengthening connections and collaboration among INN’s network of nonprofit newsrooms across the United States. He is also charged with developing distribution agreements and editorial services that help members fulfill their missions and increase the impact of their journalism. Kealing leads INN’s journalism collaborations, including reporting projects on rural hospitals, Chicago politics and climate change and the Great Lakes, piloting new models for news sharing and distribution. He also managed a pioneering project to distribute member content via The Associated Press.

Before joining INN, Kealing was part of the executive leadership team at Public Radio International, serving as executive editor for Kealing led a team of 15 journalists covering global issues, including immigration, gender equity and international security. He also played a significant role in the planning and implementation of the transformative PRI/PRX merger.

Kealing previously worked for The World Company and its Lawrence Journal-World. There he helped launch innovative community news sites focused on health and sustainability. He also led efforts to cross-train reporters and photographers as multimedia journalists capable of filing for a digital-first, multiplatform environment.
