Uploading Video

Before you can add video, images, PDFs, graphs/charts to your online story you must UPLOAD them through Movable Type.

  1. Click the Log in to Movable Type link and enter your Movable type username and password.

  2. Make sure the correct blog is selected and then click on Upload File in the “Create” drop-down menu.

  3. The Upload File dialog box will open up. Click the BROWSE button, browse to your file and click choose.

  4. Set the upload destination to “media/” You can either type “media/” or select Choose Folder and select it

  5. Click on the UPLOAD button.

  6. Click on the Link button.

  7. Movable Type then generates the basic HTML code needed to display your video. The code below is an example of what will pop-up into your File Upload Window. Copy only the portion of your code highlighted below and move to the code generator.

    DO NOT CLOSE the File Upload Window

    until you’ve got your video posted correctly, just in case you need to access it if something does go wrong.
