Adding Effects
Once you’ve imported all of your images and arranged them in your desired order, you may want to add a little visual spice to the slideshow. You don’t want to go overboard with effects, because the focus of the slideshow should be on your images and not exploding graphics.
To add effects to your slideshow, click on the Effects menu in the browser window.
Click on the drop-down arrow next to Video Transitions.
Browse to the effect you want to use and click and drag the effect down to the timeline in between the images you want your effect to affect.
Feel free to try every single video transition to find the one that works best for your slideshow. You will find that some are good and others are not so good. A word of caution… Avoid obnoxious or especially long transitions. Do not use multiple kinds of transitions in the same slideshow.
Choose Sequence → Render All → Both
