PopStar
PopStar is the software and hardware system that manages our digital signs in the Multimedia Newsroom.
To manage the content on our screens, go to http://129.237.245.70 and login to the system. Bryan will give you a username and password.
Screen 1
Screen 1 is the screen on the right.
You can quickly change the channel for the video on screen 1 and turn on and off the audio through the PopStar web interface.
You can also change the layout of the screen by choosing a new file from the Screen Layout drop down menu.
Screen 2
Screen 2 is the screen on the left.
Screen 2 has four video channels available. Not all layouts utilize all four channels.
The video channels for screen 2 are controlled through demodulators located in the server closet. Please see Bryan if you want to change any of the channels on screen 2.
However, you can quickly turn on and off the audio for the four video channels through the PopStar web interface. You can also change the layout of the screen by choosing a new file from the Screen Layout drop down menu.
PopStar Layouts
There are currently 16 different layouts available for the PopStar screens. Keep in mind that the “zones” can contain a variety of content, including, video, still images, web pages, Flash files, and scrolling text.
