Image Size
Once you have opened all of your images in Photoshop you are ready to begin editing your images.
The first thing you will do is crop any unwanted parts of the image. Select the crop tool from the tools palette.

Once the Crop Tool is selected, make sure the Width and Height fields in the Crop Tool dialog box are both clear.

Click and drag over the part of the image that you want to keep.
Press enter to crop the image.
Now you need to adjust the size of your image. Images in Movable Type should be no larger than 400 pixels wide (400 pixels is the maximum width that your image can be displayed on the web page. If your image is wider than 400 pixels it will not fit correctly onto the page. If you want to wrap text around your image, which is highly recommended for aesthetic purposes, then your image must be 240 pixels wide). To change the image size click on Image –> Image Size

Wrapping text means there is text next to the image and not just above and below the image. When you include a cutline below the image, it should look similar to this…

In the Image Size dialog box change the width to your required size. Remember, images for Movable Type should be no larger than 400 pixels wide. Be sure the Constrain Proportions box is checked in the Image Size dialog box, so that changing the width will automatically change the height to keep the same proportions of your original image. Once you’ve entered your desired width, click OK.
