Adding Staff
As an online producer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining student profile pages. At the beginning of each semester you will need to add all of the new students in multimedia reporting and multimedia editing. You will also need to update any of the profiles of students that have new roles in the newsroom (i.e. a television reporter that is now a television producer).
This is a blank KUJH staff profile sheet.
On the site administration home page, click on the + Add symbol next to staff.

Fill in the Last name field.
Fill in the First name field.
Fill in the Email field.
Click the drop down menu next to the Year in school field to selcect the student’s year in school.
Select the student’s role in the Available role options box. To select multiple roles, hold down the apple key () when selecting each role.

Once you’ve selected all of the student’s roles, click on the right add students arrow.

If you accidentally select the wrong role, or if a student is no longer performing a chosen role, you need to select that role in the Chosen role options box.

After selecting the role or roles that a student no longer performs in the Chosen role option box, click on the left subtract students arrow.

Perform the same actions for the Major and Minor options boxes.
You will need to fill out as many of the following options fields as possible…Middle initial, Home phone, Cell phone, Bio, Hometown, and Bloglink.
If this student is an active member of the KUJH-TV community in any capacity, check the Active box.

Do not worry about the Resume, Mug and Video fields as those will be covered in the next chapters.
When you are completely finished filling out all of the options fields, other than those listed in step 13, click the Save button in the lower right hand portion of the page.
