Saving Charts

Again, since charts are similar to still images from video or digital cameras, the saving process is pretty much the same.

  1. Click File -> Save for Web

  2. Unless you have a very complex chart with graphic images and lots of colors, you will want to save your chart as a GIF. If you do have a complex chart you will want to save it as a JPEG. If you aren’t sure what to save your chart as, select both GIF and JPEG and see which one is the smaller file size.

  3. Once you’ve determined the correct file type, click Save is the upper right hand of the Save for Web dialog box.

  4. Make sure you save your chart to the desktop and give the file a unique name that includes your initials.
