Final Assignment w Sean Levine and Leonard Byrd

We are at the most interesting point in time right now as technology and media are intersecting taking away jobs that humans used to do that machines are now capable of, yet creating a whole new realm of jobs in new media such as second life. The future of media is hedaing the way of less human interaction and much m ore avatar communication. We find this as a backwards type of technology from the point of view that people first communicated without computers and then we gaines the access to the web to explore new avenues of communication and with second life and Media 3.0 less and less face to face time is actually involved.
We feel the better way to go for the future of media is a combination of advancement in technology and computer systems as well as more family time and less "Big Media". Advertisements and Marketing flood the web pages we rapidly fly through on the way to more important things such as bank statements and emails, but the way the world runs is the dollar and the advertising is neccesary. Sit down family dinners and more "How was your day" type occasions would help the merge of technology and society because families are divided in more ways than they are brought together with the advancement of all of the new media available at our fingertips.
