When we were assigned this assignment I really thought that this was going to be pretty simple. I mean I’m a guy and no offense to girls but I don’t have to text every 2 seconds. Plus I decided to start it Sunday mourning while I was on my way to the chiefs’ game.
Right when I got into the game I faced my first problem. There was a song playing and I was afraid I would forget the name of it so I asked my brother to write it down. He told me to just put it in my phone. Unfortunately I didn’t have my phone on me. The next three hours were pretty easy. I didn’t miss my phone at all but every once in a while I would feel for it just because it is a habit.
Around 5 o’clock I headed back to Lawrence. I had to study for a test so I figured I was not going to need my computer. I couldn’t figure out some of the answer so I had to use the internet which was probably the worst thing I could do. I am so used to doing homework and then checking my facebook. I had the internet window opened up and I would be looking at the screen thinking this is boring and I wanted to check my facebook really bad.
I was able to over come the internet, but around mid-night I received a text message from someone else studying for the same test. I responded back because I didn’t want to be rude plus they wanted to meet up and study.
In the end I was able to do pretty well being without internet or phone, but I still had to use both. I will also have to admit I thought that this was going to be a simple assignment but it was though because using my phone and internet are things I take for granted.
