No Cellphone, No Car, NO LIFE

I decided to start my media free 24 hours at 6'o clock p.m. on Saturday night. This seemed like the easiest time for me to start, because I was done tailgating for the day and heading home for an early night. I didn't think it was that hard until midway through the next day when I realized how bored I was.

The phone is by far the hardest thing to go without. It is my main connection to all of my friends and family. I would physically have to go somewhere to talk to someone, and I would not even be 100 percent sure they would even be there. I don't have a car either so this made getting together with friends extremely difficult. I also did not realize how much I text messaged. I would find myself grabbing my phone out of complete instinct ready to text a quick thought to my friend.

The internet on the other hand did not bother me at all. I probably could have gone longer without using it. Since it was a weekend day, it was probably easier for me to go without the internet because I wasn't going to do any research. I also do not feel much of a need to check Facebook on the weekends either.

Overall, the loss of my phone was definitely my major struggle. I have a much better understanding of how much convenience and a little laziness the cell phone brings to my everyday life.
