Everyone’s biggest fear is tripping in front of a crowd of people. That fear comes true for many who walk past step twenty-seven behind tunnel thirty-four and thirty-five at Memorial Stadium.
This particular step is such a problem because of muscle memory. When you are walking up the many steps at Memorial Stadium your muscles get used to how big the steps are. Then once you reach step twenty-seven, which is larger than all the others, many trip spilling their over priced concession stand goods.
To get this problem fixed I contacted the Athletics Department and they pointed me to Jay Ellis who is the Director of Facilities Management. I tried calling him at 785-864-4212 but failing at ever being able to speak to him. His contact information can be found at www.kuathletics.com under the directory tab.
Zoe Bartlett says, “ The best part of watching the football games for me is watching everyone trip.” So until this problem gets fixed remember to watch your step.

The quote you got is vicious! I have never personally been there, but I'm sure everyone does trip if the step is smaller than the other ones. Hopefully the problem will be fixed soon so no more overpriced food and drinks will be spilled. You look like you did your research... It must have taken a while to count which step it was!

I think that this is definately a great idea for a story. I have had difficulty navigating some of the stairs in Memorial Stadium in the past. There are a few in complete disrepair, and I hope they get fixed.

I was there a couple weeks ago and saw some poor kid trip over it and land on his knee. I think his ego was hurt more than anything though.
