The parking lot at 19th and Haskell, or the Haskell Square strip mall, is in a state of disrepair and needs improvements. For the patrons of the stores located here, this could present a problem to them and their cars.
The lot is pocked with pot-holes and loose gravel which could cause damage to any cars that use the lot. Currently, it is imperative to use caution while driving in the parking lot because of all the damage. At night, the parking lot is not well lit, so motorists could unknowingly drive into a pothole and cause serious damage to their car. With winter coming and the ensuing ice and snow, these cracks and fissures will only become deeper and more problematic unless they are fixed now.
The leasing agency that rents out the units at Haskell Square strip mall did not, as of Thanksgiving break, respond to messages left with their office phone number of 785-865-5555, regarding the parking lot. Presently, there are still pot-holes and other potential automobile hazards in the parking lot.
The problems of the parking lot are not placed solely on the patrons of the strip mall however. Miracle Video employee Jason Barr said, “Frequently customers complain about the condition of the parking lot and as a driver who uses it as well, I would really like to see it get fixed.”

That really needs to get fixed. It looks like it could really do some damage to my car if I drove over it. Atleast now I know it's there and can watch out for it.
