Saving the Invisible

Facebook.com’s cause for Invisible Children contains limited information and only 288,601 members, but the online cause has raised $14,176. The creator Josh Martin, a high school student, made it with the main goal being to educate people and ultimately help the struggling Africans in Uganda. The way that the cause expands its education is through the member’s donations and recruitments on Facebook.com. Members receive recognition by the site listing the most active members at the top of list. These members being ones who have either donated the most money, raised the most, or invited the most other members to join.
Members participate daily because they can post their thoughts and ideas of how to further educate people on the wall and post videos about Invisible Children for others to watch. With the education and knowledge spreading across the nation, using Facebook.com as a tool to promote this beneficial cause is quite effective in uniting people from all over the country. The members of this cause are very dedicated to this and update the announcements frequently and recruit people daily. The site provides links to the Invisible Children site, which also allows people to read more about the problems in Uganda. Currently, the cause has few members but is seemingly growing daily and continues to raise money.
