Freedom for all: Let's End Human Trafficking

Facebook is a very effective way to distribute information among the teenage demographic. Groups promoting the "social good" are so importantant for this generation because they are the ones who will potentially address these issues in the future.
I found a group called "Freedom For All: Let's End Human Trafficking. This group was started by a girl whose mother was very concerned with child slavery in India. This is an open group. Anybody can join and invite others to join. Freedom For All currently has 919 members. The group wall has sugesstions, thoughts, and prayers.
The creator of the group did an excellent job of grabbing the interest of people who come across the name of her group. She has used a picture of a young girl in India to pull at the heartstrings of the members. She lists the reasons for the group, followed by a list of facts concerning child slavery. For example, some girls are as young as seven when they are sold into the brothels. The creator also includes a link to an article, followed by ways the average facebook user can help by explaining a project her church is participating in called Home of Hope with Project Rescue. They will raise money to build houses to provide food, education, counseling, and a few job offers for those rescued out of the brothels. The creator gives a few ways any individual could help. First, she tells the members to simply be aware that these horrible things are happening. Also, pray for these young girls being tortured in India. Finally, the creator gives an address to send donations.
Groups like Freedom For All: Let's End Human Trafficing are a simple way for the average person to raise awareness. One of the benefits of facebook is allowing there users to create groups under any category they want to find people with common interests.
