Facebook: Solving World Hunger

The Facebook Group entitled "Love Your Neighbor" is a group anyone may join that is interested in helping feed the hungry. Whitney Bruce, the creator, has included a link on the group's homepage directing its member to "The Hunger Site". At this site, members are able to choose a variety of ways in which to donate money. For example, there is the option of buying unique jewelry and all the proceeds go directing towards helping feed the starving children across the globe. Furthermore, this group is used to spread awareness of the growing starvation rate throughout the world. A photo gallery is displayed; the pictures depict a multitude of starving children, as well as their living conditions. Using the "photo gallery tool" depicts the horrible situation of millions of people, leading more members wanting to help and become involved.

This group is effective primarily because of the link offered. Members are able to directly enter the site and help the starving in just a matter of minutes. Additionally, this group being open for any and all to join proves to be working in it's favor, being that it has over a thousand members since it's October 4th creation.
