Well here's my attempt at salvaging a sinking ship. Today, President Bush visited the remains of the tornado-torn town of Greensburg KS. This timely attempt to console the victims, begs the comparison with the presidents response time to the last major natural disaster, hurricane Katrina. It is reported, that days after the devastation the president did not believe the reports his aids were bringing to him until they brought him a television to see the forgotten people of New Orleans in anarchy.

There is another interesting news angle as Gov. Kathleen Sebelius has criticized Bush for the states inability to respond to the Greensburg tornado due to the deployment of the national guards resources to Iraq, without replenishment.
