I just wanted to pass this tip along for all of the graduates in our class. I think you will find it very useful as you venture out into the world. It's from The Daily Show earlier this week.
Have a great summer everyone!

I thought it was great, good advice, too. I never would have thought about video resumes until I watched this. But I must ask, how popular do you think video resumes are right now? Could they ever take over paper resumes? Could this lead to the eventual elimination of the interview?

I can see why video resumes would be a great way to show off some talent, but it also seems that if you sent it in to the wrong business you wouldn't be taken seriously. I just wouldn't want to drop off a resume that would automatically be shot down because video seems cheesy at this point in time. I guess it really comes down to quality and the job that you are applying for. Because it's so new I can't see video reeplacing paper resumes for quite some time. But then again I'm one of those losers who would wear jeans their mom picked up on some clearance rack, so what do I know about being fashionable and up to date...

I think it's inevitable that video resumes will take over and paper ones will eventually become obsolete. It shows a personal side of the applicant the employer otherwise would never see.
Although, it could also harm some applicants who are not as comfortable socially or in front of a camera, they may have the credentials and skills to do the job well, but may get turned down because they had an uninteresting or off-putting video resume.
Everyone have a ridiculous summer!!
