Kansas Basketball Tied With North Carolina

I was looking at ESPN.com today and I noticed how there was an article by Andy Glockner, "Top 10 of the last 10: Best programs". I was curious to see how Kansas was rated. After seeing Duke as number one I was sure Kansas would not fall far behind. After passing, Michigan State, UConn, and Florida I observed that Kansas was tied for fifth place with North Carolina. The article is very interesting about what each team's noted for and I liked how Kansas was still considered one of the top five best basketball programs of college basketball. Hopefully this will be the only time we share the limelight with the Tar Heels.

Good pick up, Amanda. Us Kansas fans have to love polls like this, because Glockner did point out our lack of National Championships in the last almost 20 years. Meaning that, we're getting credit for reputation and that rings don't mean everything when you're discussing the strength of a team. Come to think of it, I have this luxury as a Yankees fan, too, don't i?

I read that same article and I feel like it is pretty on point to be honest. I love the Hawks and all but we have been droughtless during the span but we gain points in top tier NBA talent. I would've liked to see us higher up on the list but those other teams are hard to make an arguement towards them being below the Jayhawks.
