These interviews are good examples of what one should not do in the interview assignment.
Please note that there is lots of cursing, Scientology and Jim Everett throws a table over.
So be careful where you watch it.

I found No. 10 one of the most worthy of being in the Top Ten Most Awkward interviews list. I can tell you one thing and it is that I don't want to encounter an interview like that where an interviewee won't stop talking, starts acting to the extreme and nearly kicks me in the face. Another interview that caught my attention in the Top Ten, was the interview Matt Lauer conducted with Tom Cruise as his interviewee. It seemed to me that Cruise was taking it a little overboard and made the interview quite awkward for Lauer. Nice find for good examples of what not to do.

The chrissy incident is a classic, Jim Rome getting tossed around on his own show is priceless. I love seeing Paula Abdul and George Michael on drugs (chiefing a joint on TV is possibly the tightest thing George Michael has done since last..uhhhh i'll let you figure that one out). Vanilla Ice, Crispin Glover and Mike Tyson are all in the same boat (funny how if you add "walked into a bar" after those three names it sounds like a potentially good joke). I'd prolly be a birch myself Barbara, dumbass.

I think were missing the Oprah/Tom cruise interview when he was talking about his love fore katie because that was the definition of awkward. Come to think of it most interviews with tom cruise are awkward. Another one that didn't make that list that should be up there is the Mariah Carey interview on TRL a couple of years ago before she had her breakdown and she started stripping on MTV. Does anyone remember the Isak Mssarahi interviews at the golden globes when he felt up Scarlet Johanson, and asked what underwear Eva Longoria. AWKWARD!

Those interviews were definitely awkward and I hope I never am put in that situation as an interviewer or interviewee. However, what i found more interesting were the side links to horny oyster and hot girls. Are you sure you didn't go to the site to look at those and just happened to find something relevant to the class? I'm just kidding! The site was pretty entertaining..even for a girl!

Kendall-
Thanks for pointing that out. I promise I have an alibi and didn't see the ads for the perfect woman/man for me right here in Lawrence!
Here's the scoop:
Instead of Internet Explorer, I use Mozilla Firefox and it allows extensions to be made by other people. One of this extensions is called Adblock and amazingly enough it blocks all the ads on a website. So, when I was looking at the site, I didn't see any horny oysters because they were blocked. Obviously this is a wake-up call for me and from now on I'll look at the site with Internet Exploder.

I could not believe what I had just saw after going through the videos on that Web site. I think the Jon Stewart video proves to us what the tenets of good journalism are and I was very interested in finding out afterwards that the show, Crossfire, had been canceled shortly after. It is amazing what type of impact media has on our society.

First off I would like to say Chris Everett attacking Jim Rome is something everyone should do. Rome is probably the biggest "Hater" in the world. I don't think I have ever heard him say a nice thing about anyone. He deserves to be knocked around a little bit.
I also would like to argue the term bad interview. I think that it depends how you look at the situation. We all watch these interviews and laugh or at least react in some sort of way; most of the time we would never even have heard about this stuff. As journalists, those giving the interviews accomplished one thing....their story was heard. It may have been for the wrong reason, but the word got around; and I don't know about anyone else, but I'm always down for a good chuckle.
