Today’s news headlines were the best I’ve seen since I’ve last stopped watching the news (as it’s usually rather disheartening and difficult to enjoy.) But listen to the sound of these:

“Man keeps 80 sheep in his house”

“Man hunts mouse in house; mouse gets even”

“San Francisco to ban plastic grocery bags”

These are the kind of headlines I want to read about. Real people and places, experiencing out of the ordinary events. Yea, I know, we’re supposed to care about politics and taxes, but that only affects us so much. I’m not discrediting the importance of the war, no no, I’m simply happy to see reporters stepping out side of the idea box . We need to shake things up.

My personal favorite: "7-foot 9 man weds 5’6” woman"

haha that picture is great! and i also agree with you about the news. I understand the war and taxes and politics are important, but it is draining to see headlines about those topics everyyy day.

Abby Cunningham:

Haha, those are great headlines. I just read one from CJOnline.com stating:

"Inflatable colon aims to teach Topekans"

Wow.
