The J-School provides a number of facilities including computer and broadcast laboratories for student use in both Stauffer-Flint Hall and the Dole Center. The school also offers equipment such as HD Canon cameras, HD JVC cameras and lighting to be checked out on a first-come, first-serve basis. Current students can reserve an editing lab or equipment by logging into the Reservation System.

JSchoolTech.org is operated by the Journalism Technology Department at the University of Kansas’ William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Tutorials and information within the site are designed to assist students with improving their technology skills and provide professors with classroom resources for technology training.
JTech Fridays: JSchoolTech will present a topic on journalism technology at 1 p.m. on the first and third Friday of every month in Room 101. The presentations will include a brief demo, access to additional help tools and a question/answer session. Students are encouraged to bring current projects and get help during JTech. Topics will vary each session.
A guide to all KU training - This website provides links to several programs, including the following: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Access and Dreamweaver. Under each you’ll find available the link to the PDF handout that goes with the workshop, for which students can register at no cost.
