Newsroom mascots

A new friend for Princess Nat.

Princess Nat and her new friend romp around in the Multimedia Newsroom.
A new pony pulled into town over winter break. She has long yellow hair and dainty little wings. Uncle Rick rescued the new pony from his step-daughters playbox. Apparently, she's been around for awhile, a pony of the '80's. I wonder what we should name her? Suggestions?

The new pony and Princess Nat are already plotting this semester's exciting breaking news story. In case you don't know the back story on Princess Nat, please see this short audio/photo slideshow produced last semester by Mr. Rylan Howe (with a little help from Rick and Staci).

Our newsroom mascots provide a little light entertainment and soften an otherwise rough work environment. Not really. Our newsroom is actually full of light-hearted individuals. We like to have fun and keep it real. What's life in a newsroom if you can't play with My Little Pony's and laugh at yourself?

In other news, we also have a new student system administrator who will work with Katie and I to support our growing number of web apps and servers. Matt will provide some much needed relief for me, and I look forward to having another sharp mind help us brainstorm new and innovative ways to deliver news and information via the Multimedia Newsrom.

Hell's Angel... yeah Hell's Angel... we should refer to Buttercup from now on as Hell's Angel.
