Summer pace

| | Comments (0)

I'll be fairly avoident when I say I didn't enjoy my work last semester. There was so much that could be done, but nearly nothing happened.

Finding a pace for work during the time of year where sunny days and balmy nights prevail is usually difficult for me. This summer already feels different; so much is going to be accomplished.

Perhaps it is the goals that continually look over our shoulders on the classroom board, or the continuing questions between Staci and I as we lean in to the computer monitors, but the sincere desire to accomplish tasks with a professional polish owns the room.

I only wish Mr. Wilcox would stop by so I could make fun of his shirts one last time before we talked about databases and programs and the mountain of fun in front of us. Otherwise, I am pleased with the list of things to do.

My imminent concern is the presentation of several blogs; this one included. I started my family out on several Wordpress blogs a few months ago, and so have carelessly wandered into the category of an intermediate expert for Staci. It's okay, I really enjoy working with this software.

Hopefully, I will contribute towards a new perspective in the way this semester's, and future semesters' students become acquainted with web technology. Right now, that means ease of use, interfaces and documentation - things that make me drowsy just thinking about them. But I think, by the end of the summer, some very innovative and slick ideas will find a place to flower in our little corner of the web.

In some ways, just working with a team that is really interested in finding new ways to use this stuff is more satisfying than I could have hoped for.

As for the amount to be accomplished, I've only a quote from ages ago.

We must either find a way or make one. -Hannibal
